Reading the word

The Bible consisting of the Old and New Testaments is the inerrant word of God and as such, is the final authority for faith and life.

There is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He created and sustains all things according to His excellent purposes.

All people have been created in the image of God, for the express purpose of worshipping and enjoying Him.

Although humanity was created good, all have rebelled and broken His law (sinned). All now have a sinful nature, tarnishing the image of God in them. We all deserve God’s just punishment because of our sin and are totally unable to save ourselves. In His mercy, God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to save sinners. Jesus is fully God and yet fully man. Jesus was the anointed saviour – the Christ. He lived a perfect sinless life, died on the cross and rose again bodily after three days.
